The cutest big sister to-be

Witherspoon is so excited to be a big sister she has let the baby know many times, in fact I am convinced that the baby will recognize Spoon's voice before mine or Scott's because well, Spoon barks really loud and is usually on my lap when she does it.

So, one night at around 14 weeks I had dinner and boy did I feel full after, my belly seemed to be sticking out more than ever but I thought it was because I had just eaten. Well, the next morning there it was. It looks kind of like I am hiding a small melon under my shirt. Scott and I think it's pretty cute. He is wonderful and tell's me how pretty I am all the time. This picture is actually from about 15 weeks and my bump seems to get a little bigger every day. I am so excited to be (16 weeks) 4 months pregnant on Monday September 25th. We have our next Dr. appt at 18 weeks and are hoping to find out if we are having a boy or a girl. My last Dr. visit we got to hear the heartbeat again. It was 154. Old Wives tale says heartbeats faster than 150 might mean girl.... We can't wait to find out. :)
We can't wait to take our tour of the hospital where our little miracle will be delivered. I can also sign up for my classes soon and we can start really preparing. Around that time I think I will really start feeling the baby move. I have felt little flutters already.

Little Baby Peat 10 week ultrasound

This was the most exciting visit to the Dr. Scott came along and we got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time. I was not scheduled for an ultrasound during this visit but I had been having some cramps that turned out to be early round ligament stretching cramps but my Dr. is so wonderful and will do anything to put my mind at ease. So, we got the whole show. During the ultrasound the baby was moving around so much it was making me laugh and then the entire image would shake because my stomache was shaking the wand. I was very funny. The baby at one point seemed to roll to face us and actually looked like he/she waved it's arm at us. That was when the Dr. snapped this picture. Then just as quick rolled away and put it's back toward us as if to say "show's over". Tiny arms and legs moving and that beautiful heartbeat. Just amazing. The Dr. said that since we heard the heartbeat the risk went down enough that we could start telling people. That was so great because a couple people at work had already figured it out. I told my boss and a few other people and they were all so excited for us.

This is me at just over 2 months. It is very exciting to see the beginnings of my little bump. Still having morning sickenss but when I have it is either starts in the morning and lasts all day and night or it hangs out just under the surface and shows up around dinner time.

Little Baby Peat 7 week ultrasound

I waited an extra week to test, I was convinced that my body was just playing tricks on me, when we got the positive it came up fast and dark that was an amazing moment. This ultrasound is from my first prenatal visit to the Dr. I had gone in the week before just to verify the pregancy and make sure it was in the right place and no complications. I got to see the tiny little heartbeat and it was very exciting and emotional for me. Unfortunatly our AC had broken, we were in the middle of a heat wave and I was about a week into awful morning sickness so Scott had to stay home and wait for the AC repair people. Our AC would become a source of frusteration for the next month and a half.
If you can see between the two X's that is the little bean. I think the white dot might be his/her heart. :)

One Month Pregnant but didn't know it yet

We had just gotten home from a wonderful 2 week visit to Michigan and Indiana for a wedding and family reunion. I was exhausted (and I look it) and fell asleep on every leg of our long flights which was unusual for me. Little did we know that I was pregnant. I guess it took a 2 week vacation and relaxation for that little bugger to stick. It's the last time I'll see that flat tummy for a very long time. :)
